Installation
If you have got this far, you have either requested a trial license or gone ahead and purchased a permanent license (thanks!). The first step is to download the zip file from the link you were sent in the email, and install the package it contains by double-clicking on the .pkg file.

Once installed, open System Preferences and click on the “Unmount Volumes” preference pane icon.

This will bring you to a preference pane listing the mounted volumes on your computer, but you can’t yet interact with the list.

The first thing you have to do is unlock the padlock in the lower left corner of the preference pane to allow you to enter the trial license code. Click on it, and enter the user name and password for an Admin user. This must be an Admin user because the set of volumes to be unmounted at boot time is system wide and thus applies to all users.

Now click on the “Enter License Code...” button just to the right of the padlock. You will get a pop up panel with fields for you to enter name, email and license code like this:

Go ahead and copy and paste the name, email and license code exactly as they are shown in the email you were sent. It will look something like this (Note: you should include the “--- BEGIN LICENSE ---” and “--- END LICENSE ---” text) :

Click on the “License!” button, and you’re done. If it was a trial license you entered above, then you will still see the “Enter License Code...” button when the pop up closes, like this, but note that the check boxes are now enabled, and you can go ahead and select volumes to be unmounted at startup:

You will also be reminded about the expiry of this temporary license any time you unlock the padlock, like this:

Uninstall
If you wish to remove the Unmount Volumes Preference Pane and associated helper files, please download the uninstall application from the link included in your email with the original download instructions and license, or from the link on the product home page.
